Lynn Tribe
Lynn Tribe (nee Bleasdale) was born and raised in the Okanagan Valley, British Columbia. To further her education, she left the valley following high school, married, raised two children, and moved fourteen times, living in Vancouver, Merritt, Golden Colorado, Hinton, Edmonton, Fernie, Barranquilla, and La Guajira, Colombia, S. America. Lynn returned with her family to live and work in Kelowna in 1991. She became a Certified Management Accountant and worked at the City of Kelowna for 14 years and then 5 years at Northern Air Support before retiring.
She has had Active Status with the Federation of Canadian Artists since 1983 and enjoys subjects ranging from realism to abstraction. Lynn completed the Art Certificate program and advanced painting techniques in tempera and mixed media through the University of Alberta. She has studied and taken workshops with many well-known international artists, such as Linda Kemp, Robert Burridge, Suzanne Northcott, Mike Svob, and Brian Ateyo, learning new techniques and mediums, and is currently concentrating on acrylic and mixed media.
Lynn is a member of the Riverside Painters, Kelowna Painters Studio, and is an Active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, and her work is available for exhibition and sale.
