Launna Vinnedge

Launna is a retired elementary school teacher and long-time Okanagan resident. Painting became a holiday hobby during her teaching years, but she signed up for every workshop she could find when she started looking toward retirement. She carries a camera everywhere and does most of her painting from her own photos. Her subject matter and style continue to evolve as she explores new techniques and media.
Although Launna’s style varies and work is very eclectic, she mainly paints landscapes, but is becoming known for her figurative and pet works. She works in watercolour, acrylic, oil, pastel, and mixed media.
She has taken workshops with various local artists and is a member of the Peachland Art Group, the Federation
of Canadian Artists, and, now, with the Kelowna Painters Studio Society. Her work can be found in various private collections locally and abroad.
